Auctioneering is an everchanging profession. No one knows this better than Melissa Davis. Melissa grew up in the auction business. She is a third generation auctioneer and licensed real estate broker. Melissa has had a front row seat during the changes in technology, marketing and conducting of auctions throughout the decades.
As a Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) and an Accredited Auctioneer in Real Estate (AARE), Melissa specializes in assisting non-profit organizations flourish and sells real estate via the auction method of marketing for Christy’s of Indiana, Inc. Currently, Melissa serves as vice president of the Indiana Auctioneer’s Association and has been an active member of the National Auctioneer’s Association.
Melissa is a Reppert graduate and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Ball State University. Melissa purchased the school from the famed Kruse family in May 2011. She resides in Indianapolis with her husband and four children.

Jack Christy began his auction career in 1975. His company, Christy’s of Indiana, Inc. is one of the nation’s finest auction galleries operating today. Jack has a passion for education, as demonstrated by his service as an instructor for Reppert Auction School for many years and the Certified Estate Specialist (CES) designation program offered by the National Auctioneer’s Association. His involvement and dedication to the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) earned him the prestigious Delta Award.
Jack is a triple crown winner in the Indiana Auctioneer’s Association. He is a past president, hall of fame inductee and bid calling champion. Jack is a master graduate personal property appraiser (MGPPA) and serves as an expert witness in state and federal courts.
While attending Reppert at Christy’s auction gallery in Indianapolis, students will be able to experience auctioneering in today’s environment.
