Alan Updike is currently a commercial real estate and auction consultant specializing in commercial sales and development. He has owned two residential real estate and auction firms and has managed real estate offices for two major real estate franchises.

He is an approved and certified instructor for the Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky real estate and auction commissions and was a contract trainer for Coldwell Banker and the Indiana Association of Realtors. He has also served as a consultant, lobbyist, and advisor for various real estate and auction projects in the areas of multi-state continuing education and licensure examinations.

Alan has over forty-five years of experience as a licensed real estate broker and auctioneer. He was appointed by the Governor of the State of Indiana as Deputy Director of Indiana Professional Licensing for an eight year period during which time he was the Executive Director of the Real Estate Commission. At the end of this appointment, he became the COO for Assessment Systems Inc., a nationwide provider of real estate examination services and was responsible for all internal operations and multi-state test development.

In addition to holding a real estate and auction license, he has also earned the GRI and CREC designations for real estate. He is a graduate of Manchester University with a BS degree and a former two term Huntington County Commissioner.
